HEAT membership application form

HEAT offers two kinds of membership, Operating and Supporting.  From our bylaws:

(1)   Operating Membership. Any 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, individual or government entity known to promote equal housing opportunity, with demonstrated leadership in the community and dedication to the purposes and goals of the Corporation, may apply for membership in the Corporation as an Operating Member. Acceptance as a member is at the sole discretion of the Board of Directors.  Operating Members must pay membership dues of at least $250.00 per year to be used for the operation of the Tennessee Fair Housing Matters Conference. Operating Members (and other contributors) will be recognized at the conference for their contribution as set out in previous conferences with designations of Bronze, Silver and Gold, depending upon the amount contributed.

Operating Members have input into the operation of the Corporation.

(2) Supporting Membership. Any organization or individual known to promote equal housing opportunity, with demonstrated leadership in the community and dedication to the purposes and goals of the Corporation, may apply for membership in the Corporation as a Supporting Member. Acceptance as a member is at the sole discretion of the Board of Directors.  Supporting Members have no role in the governance of the Corporation but may be listed as supporting members in conference materials if there is space.
